On the remaining screen, a blurred, spindly white shape slams into the reinforced door. The metal groans, folding like wet cardboard.

The room is bathed in the sterile blue glow of dozens of monitors. (40s, weary) sips lukewarm coffee. Beside him, TECHNICIAN CHAVEZ (20s, nervous) is scrolling through thermal feeds.
