They Stole My Life: Dany Leprince’s Enduring Fight for Innocence On September 4, 1994, the village of Thorigné-sur-Dué became the site of one of France's most brutal crimes: the "quadruple murder in Sarthe". Christian Leprince, his wife Brigitte, and two of their daughters (aged 7 and 10) were found murdered in their home. The only survivor was their two-year-old daughter, Solène. Dany Leprince, Christian's brother and neighbor, was quickly arrested after his then-wife, Martine Compain, and eldest daughter, Célia, accused him. Exhausted after 46 hours of interrogation, Dany confessed to killing his brother but quickly retracted, claiming the confession was coerced. Despite a lack of DNA evidence or fingerprints linking him to the scene, he was sentenced to life in prison in 1997. A New Chapter in 2022 |
