Leo sat in stunned silence for a moment. Then, a smile slowly spread across his face. He picked up his phone and dialed his grandfather.

Leo reached out to refresh the page, but as his finger brushed the trackpad, a sudden, blinding flash of light erupted from the monitor.

Lap after lap, the intense heat and physical strain pushed Leo to his absolute limit. His arms burned like fire from fighting the pull of the four powerful horses.

As the Roman guards rushed onto the track to crown him with the victor's laurel, the bright Mediterranean sun suddenly began to pixelate. The roaring crowd dissolved into digital static. Leo blinked hard.

When Leo opened his eyes, the modern comfort of his apartment was gone. The air was thick with heat, dust, and the overwhelming smell of sweat and leather. He was no longer wearing his sweatpants and t-shirt. Instead, a coarse linen tunic hung over his frame.

Leo crossed the finish line alone, the undisputed victor. The thunderous applause of the stadium was deafening.
