You can only carry 4 of each recovery item (like Candy or Chocolate). Always top off your supplies at shops before entering a dungeon.

Your saves are typically located in Documents\My Games\Secret of Mana . It is highly recommended to back up your save file manually if you plan on experimenting with mods or hex editing. After you swing your weapon, your power bar drops to 0%
Unlike the original, you can now use the Auto-Save feature when moving between screens. You can also save at any Inn or by talking to Neko (the purple cat merchant).
