The story follows (Carice van Houten), a seasoned and highly specialized prison psychologist. She takes a new job at a strict penal institution where she is tasked with evaluating Idris (Marwan Kenzari), a highly intelligent, intensely charismatic, and violently aggressive sex offender.

Despite knowing exactly how dangerous and calculating he is, Nicoline finds herself unexpectedly and intensely drawn to him.
