Nicolae Stroe (1905–1990) was a renowned Romanian actor, comedian, composer, and director, best known for his interwar musical and comedic work, particularly within the famous "Stroe și Vasilache" duo.

While "Cântece de neuitat" refers to a genre of his work, his era was defined by songs like "Du-mă acasă, măi tramvai" (often associated with Gică Petrescu, but part of that same, nostalgic era).

After Vasilache's death in 1944, Stroe continued his career, eventually moving to Israel, where he passed away in 1990.
