Much of the series was filmed in Adana and Mersin , Turkey, utilizing the distinctive landscape of the Çukurova region to enhance the supernatural atmosphere.
The story follows (played by Serenay Sarıkaya), a psychology lecturer who travels to Adana for a lecture and to confront her estranged grandfather. While there, she becomes entangled with a mysterious community known as the Mar , who are descendants of Shahmaran.
